  • Records issued in card format (traffic cards) must meet the National Statement of Attainment requirements.

  • Naming convention and unit code on evidence to meet course name, unless alternate course name/unit code at the time of issue.

  • Details of an authorised person in the issuing organisation must be identified, however this may or may not include a signature.
  • Certificates of Attendance are not accepted.

Traffic Management.Competency Card.SafeWork NSW Traffic Card - Implement Traffic

For an Safework issued certificate:

  • Interim Certificate can be accepted for this competency in lieu of card (Interim certificate is a Statement of completion)
  • The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
  • Statement of completion is valid exchange for Card, however only valid for 90 days
  • Matching competency title to be listed having been achieved on certificate
  • Certificate is to be issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted


For Safework issued card:

  • The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
  • Must be issued by Safework NSW and will be called a Traffic Control Work Training Card.
  • Must have IMP listed under “Type of traffic control work” at the bottom of the card
  • Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted
  • Only the front of the card needs to be displayed in uploaded file

Safework issued certificate:

  • The issue date should be recorded as the date of completion / date of application
  • The expiry date must be recorded in Onsite - Expiry date is calculated to be 90 days from the date of completion / date of application

  • Expiry date: not required

Traffic Management.Certificate.Control traffic with stop-slow bat

  • Applicant's name to be shown on documentation and must match their name in Onsite (however shortened versions such as 'Chris' for Christopher can be accepted)
  • Document must show a course name: Traffic Management Contractor Validation
  • It must be filled in completely and have a “Name of Director” or “Authorised person” and be signed.
  • It must also have an issued date
Issue Date: As per document

Expiry date: 2 years from issue date

VESI.Certificate of Competency.Utilities Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Worker Accreditation course
  • Applicant's name to be shown on documentation and must match their name in Onsite (however shortened versions such as 'Chris' for Christopher can be accepted)
  • Document must show a course name:
    1. Temporary Traffic Management Utilities TTM Worker Accreditation course

  • Document must have this logo -

  • Must be from an approved RTO (link in examples)

Issue Date: As per document
